Juice Review: Pipe Sauce - Piper Mint by ePipeMods

Piper Mint is the newest addition to the Pipe Sauce range from ePipeMods. I've been a fan of the Long Bottom Leaf from the same range from the moment I first tasted it and I always seem to have one of my atties filled with LBF wherever I go (and my wife vapes LBF exclusively now).

Piper Mint tastes like it's based on the same tobacco tastes that I know from Long Bottom Leaf and Shire Malt, but this time with a hint of mint/menthol on top. It's a very subtle hint that doesn't kill the tobacco tastes but adds a nice slightly cooling sensation on the inhale and the mint comes a bit more to the front on the exhale. Fantastically well balanced juice that gives you kind of a gentle mint and a slight cooling sensation on top of what I suspect might be a mix of Long Bottom Leaf and Shire Malt (try out these 2 as well if you haven't yet... they are fantastic). This is definitely a juice I would recommend you try out, especially if you're already a fan of the range.

Piper Mint fits very well into the range with the other juices as well. The whole range has some common elements that tie them together, so you're instantly able to tell that they are from the same range without ever having tasted the juice before. Now I have only tried one of the juices from the new Steam Sauce range (which is ePipeMods new non-tobacco range); the Airship (read my review here: http://goo.gl/ruFEvM). But... I have a new bottle of Transdimensional here that I'm now really looking forward to try out. I wonder if they have managed to make the Steam Sauce range as constantly awesome as the Pipe Sauces?

You can get the Piper Mint and all the other fabulous juices from ePipeMods in their own webshop or from one of their many vendors:

Juice Review: Nick's Blissful Brews - Smoked Custard

There are a lot of juice-mixers out there that are doing their own take on
popular tastes, like Vanilla Custard, different fruit and berry mixes and the variations based on aniseed and so on. Nick is not one of them. As far as I know, in addition to some specials made in limited quantities, these are his blends:

  • Smoked Custard - A mix of tobacco and custard, and the one I'm reviewing today. To be honest I wondered how the hell he came up with that idea.
  • Peach Green Tea - Maybe the one that sounds most sane
  • Strawberry Black Tea - Never would have thought of this either :)
I got to admit I was a bit skeptical, but still I felt I kind of just had to try out this crazy blend. Nicks juices are according to himself designed for genesis atomizers. 80/20 PG/VG keeps the coils clean, gives you a bunch of throat hit, but still I find this Smoked Custard to produce a satisfying amount of vapor as well. I've been trying out this juice in the Hellfire Mega (4/5 wraps of .25 kanthal) since Friday now. It feels a bit like eating custard while smoking a good cigar, and surprisingly that is a good thing. The custard is more like an undertone, like hmm... like when you add some of that flavor-syrup to your coffee, but not to much. It's like some flavors blend and become new flavors and the originals disappear, but in this juice it doesn't, both the tobacco and the custard is still there. Great balance, and a shitload of flavor, and it's a flavor I'm sure you have never tasted anywhere else. All in all a great juice, that keeps growing on me. I think I'll leave some of it for steeping as well to see how it develops. According to some of my friends at the vapepit, it also is really really nice to your coils and you can go on for ages without recoiling with Nicks juices. Just had 2 days to test but still looks nice and clean here as well, we'll see how it goes.

Really looking forward to trying out the rest of Nick's brews as this is good shit. I'll definitely try to keep an eye out for the next special edition as well. Keep on coming up with these taste-combos that no-one else has thought of Nick, I love it. Highly recommended by the vaping giraffe :)

Juice review: Steam Sauce - Airship by ePipeMods

I love the Pipe Sauce range from ePipeMods, especially the Long Bottom Leaf. It has been a favourite and a juice I've always come back to since I first tried it late 2012. Now I was going to order some more LBL and I saw that ePipemods has introduced a new range of non-tobacco juices, the Steam Sauce range, with cool sounding names like Airship, Chrononaut and Clockwerk. So I decided to try out one of these and why not just start at the top of the list with Airship? I didn't see why not so I ordered some, and yesterday it arrived together with my LBL.

I had high expectations for this juice as the Pipe Sauces are totally my cup of tea, so I was really looking forward to trying out their take on non-tobacco juices as well. I really like the design of the labelling, and it comes in a glass bottle with a pipette, which gives you a feeling this is quality. So today I recoiled my Hellfire Dripper (4 wraps of .25, 3mm silica wick, pretty hot setup, not really sure about the ohms) and filled my U-can.

First of all, when you open the bottle, the smell of this juice is lovely. I think ePipeMods is spot on in their own description: A delightful Strawberry-Kiwi mix with just a hint of menthol. Well, for the smell not that much menthol, but when you vape it it is exactly what they say it is. Reminds me of a Snapple Strawberry Kiwi drink that's really good. It's sweet but not too sweet and the menthol gives it a nice cooling touch. It's not much menthol, just a hint to give it that cooling sensation. All in all a well balanced, fresh and very natural juice. I can easily recommend this and I look forward to trying out some of the other juices in the range. The Transdimensional looks tempting: The Marty McFly of eliquids; a grape so intense, it exists in multiple dimensions.

Back on Scope's raspberry

Been saving some of Scopes Raspberry juice for a while now, just to make it through the post Xmas blues as a fellow pit-member called it. But today I caved in, filled the last of it in a 15ml needle-tip bottle and re-coiled the mega, and my god this juice is good. Getting back to an old favorite juice after a period of testing different stuff is one of the best things of vaping. Scope, you're a genius, now I'm looking forward to the day one of my atties are free for a run of blueberry again :)

(Scope I hope you don't mind me stealing your avatar as an illustration photo for this post... it's so cute.)
